BIBD continued its annual “Program Sirah Amal BIBD” with visits to a total of twenty less-fortunate families from the Asnaf Muallaf Daif. This is a result from collaboration with the Islamic Dakwah Centre (PDI), Ministry of Religious Affairs. Together with Head of Departments and officers from PDI, BIBD management and staff visited homes of recipients in the Brunei Muara District.

In light of the upcoming month of Ramadhan, the initiative is hoped to provide the families with timely support and comfort for them to perform their fasting duties. This heart-warming initiative is a reflection of BIBD’s Bruneian at Heart commitment in providing support and assistance, especially to the community in need.

Marking its seventh annual Sirah Amal outing, BIBD visited the homes of families in Belait, Temburong, Tutong, and Brunei Muara as part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to give back to local communities. The selected underprivileged families were presented with donations in the form of food hampers and other daily necessities, which were contributed by the Bank and its staff. Before leaving their homes, a doa was recited by an officer from PDI to bless the occasion and initiative.

Yang Mulia Haji Minorhadi bin Haji Mirhassan, Head of BIBD’s Government Relations & Special Projects commented, “A core value of BIBD, as a responsible corporate citizen, has always been to care for and give back to the community. In Shaa Allah, every year we try to maximise not just the quantity, but also quality of our support and blessings shared, making sure that they reach out to the right people and contribute to their needs and ambitions.

“Alhamdulillah, the growth of our business has also allowed us to contribute more, and this is all a result of the forward-thinking and vision of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in shaping the future of Brunei Darussalam, along with the positive efforts of relevant government and regulatory authorities, and the trust and support from the people of Brunei Darussalam.”
